The National Secretariat of BOOT (Because Of Our Tomorrow) Party has been made aware of the public announcement of an unholy and illegal alliance forged between some unauthorised members of the Party in Lagos State led by the Party's Gubernatorial candidate and some Labour Party officials under the co-ordination and supervision of some morally discredited Afenifere leaders claiming that BOOT Party has collapsed its structure into Labour Party. This narrative is false in its entirety and clothed with dishonesty and perfidy. This alliance and announcement were fraudulent without any due process and approval by the National Working Committee of the BOOT Party.

The National Secretariat of BOOT Party hereby vehemently denounce the alliance as being against the principles and values of the Party as it is in total negation of the stance of the Party regarding conceding to other parties within the current electoral space. The Party shall stop at nothing to invalidate this dishonest arrangement. As an immediate step, the National Working Committee has resolved to suspend Mr. Wale Oluwo, its Governorship candidate in Lagos State, from the Party with immediate effect for anti-party activities and bringing the name of the Party to disrepute. Further steps to be taken by the Party to redress this reprehensible and rogue accord with Labour Party shall be made public in due course.

Furthermore, the Party hereby dissociates itself from the suit filed at the Federal High Court Lagos restraining INEC from using the Lagos State Park Management Committee from performing the logistics for the upcoming General Elections. The suit was filed without the knowledge and approval of the National Secretariat of the Party. INEC may wish to inform the relevant Court that the suit was fraudulent initiated as part of its response to the suit.

It should also be noted that BOOT Party would not surrender itself as a tool in the hand of some disgruntled and out-of-favour Afenifere leaders aiming to obtain pound of flesh from some other politicians who have turned out to be "monsters" created by them and can no longer be tamed.

Finally, we wish to categorically state that BOOT Party as an entity does not intend to form any alliance, at any level, with any other Political Party for this 2023 General Elections. BOOT Party was register to usher in a new beginning in the governance landscape of Nigeria and not for the purpose of forming alliance with those responsible for bringing the country to its current parlous state.
