It is with the deepest sorrow and a profoundly heavy heart that I address our nation following the brutal attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, and the tragic killing of Brigadier General Uba.

On behalf of the BOOT Party and our members across Nigeria, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who were killed, to the injured, and to the entire community of Eruku. We mourn with you, and we share in your pain. We also honour Brigadier General Uba — a dedicated officer who paid the ultimate price in service to our nation. His sacrifice is a painful reminder of the risks borne every day by those who protect us.

These acts are an assault on our common humanity, our right to worship in safety, and the peace that binds our country together. We condemn them in the strongest possible terms. Violence and terror must never be allowed to redefine who we are as a people.

At this difficult hour, our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved and with all Nigerians yearning for peace and security. We call on the security agencies to act swiftly and decisively to apprehend the perpetrators and to bring them to justice. We urge the government at all levels to accelerate meaningful, coordinated security reforms that address the root causes of these recurring tragedies and to ensure the protection of all communities.

Out of respect for the dead and in solidarity with grieving families, we ask political parties and public figures to suspend campaign and political activities for a period of mourning. Now is a time for unity, reflection and collective action — not division.

Nigeria will not be cowed by fear. Let us stand together, offer support to the victims, and work tirelessly to rebuild trust and secure a future where every citizen can live and worship without fear.

May the souls of the departed rest in peace. May God comfort the grieving, strengthen our security institutions, and grant our nation healing and resilience.

Yours sincerely,
Sonny Adenuga
